About
Welcome to Heng Navy Bakery and Diner, a charming culinary haven located at 108 W Main St, Belle Plaine, MN 56011. Here, the seamless blend of Vietnamese culinary traditions and comforting diner favorites creates a unique dining experience that enchants locals and travelers alike. With a warm, inviting atmosphere and an impressive variety of dishes, this establishment is a treasure waiting to be discovered.
As a food reviewer, I was captivated by the vibrant flavors that grace the menu. Breakfast is a highlight here, with patrons like Shelby Faye eagerly anticipating the delightful Vietnamese and Asian meals beyond the morning hours. The French iced coffee has garnered rave reviews for its creamy and sweet espresso notes, providing the perfect start to any day.
The bakery section is equally enticing. Customer Jme Hogenson emphasizes how the donuts here surpass those of chain shops in both quality and affordability. Freshly made and full of flavor, they are a perfect treat to satisfy a mid-morning craving. Don't miss out on the delightful espresso, a steal that promises an invigorating burst of energy.
For lunch, the Banh Mi sandwiches, particularly the BBQ pork variant, are a must-try. Diners like Jess R and Jason Boll express their delight in the well-crafted sandwiches that transport them to the streets of Vietnam. The French bread is a revelation—crispy on the outside and soft within, it forms the ideal vessel for the tender, flavorful pork. This attention to detail and authenticity is what sets Heng Navy apart; each meal is made to order with fresh ingredients.
In addition to all these culinary wonders, the friendly service adds a personal touch to the experience. As B A mentions, calling ahead for takeout is a good idea, as each item is crafted with care, taking a little time to ensure peak freshness.
In conclusion, Heng Navy Bakery and Diner offers an exceptional blend of delightful pastries, robust coffee, and immensely satisfying meals that make it a staple for any food lover. Whether you’re stopping by for breakfast, lunch, or just a treat, this gem promises a memorable dining experience that reflects the rich tapestry of flavors from Vietnam and beyond.
“ I’ve only had breakfast so far, but I’m looking forward to trying more of their Vietnamese and Asian style food. I also recommend the French iced coffee is you like a creamy, sweet espresso flavor! ”
“ Donuts were great and fresh. Absolutely affordable, the assorted dozen was cheaper than most chain donut spots and the quality was much better. The extra donut bites were a nice treat. Espresso is so a fantastic deal there! ”
“ We came across this cute little place for lunch as we were passing through. I had the bbq pork Banh Mi and it was very nice. Friendly service too! We will come back if we find ourselves in the area again as there were other delicious sounding things on the menu I'd like to try! ”

“ 7.99 chicken wings. I give the whole establishment five stars because it’s so freakin cute & quaint. Service is wonderful & the ambiance is adorable. I only give the wings two stars because they’re not seasoned or marinated in anything, so a little too plain for me. Not pictured is the Vietnamese iced coffee & the absolutely delicious cronut the owner gave us. Those get five stars. I think it’s funny (not in a bad way, that a Vietnamese restaurant plays country music, but I suppose that’s to cater to the folks in town (to be frank, the white folks), but it’s cute & comical that way, that we are probably a handful of Asians in Belle Plaine ”
